JOHN BALLENTINE NORFLEET, JR.

   John Ballentine Norfleet, Jr., 83, of 210 West 53rd St., Virginia Beach, 
died Sunday afternoon, January 15, 1978, in Virginia Beach Hospital.  He was a 
native of Suffolk.  He was the husband of Edith Brockwell Norfleet.  He was a 
member of Galilee Episcopal Church, Princess Ann Country Club and was retired 
from the John B. Norfleet Insurance Company.  Besides his wife, he is survived 
by one son, Walther G. Maser of Richmond; three grandchildren; and four 
nieces.  A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the 
graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. John Jordan.  Memorial 
donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.  The R.W. Baker 
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
