ARTHUR LINWOOD OWENS

    SUFFOLK - Funeral services for Arthur Linwood Owens, 68, were held in 
Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. J. Paul Rowe.  Burial will be in 
Cedar Hill cemetery.

   Owens died Wednesday in Norfolk General Hospital.  He was a native of 
Norfolk and the husband of Ellen Presson Owens.  He was a retired self-
employed plumber.

   He was a former member of Suffolk Elks Lodge 685.

   Other survivors include a daughter, Mary Jo Chappell of West Point; a son, 
Charles L. Owens of Smithfield; two sisters, Beatrice T. Bishop of Portsmouth 
and Mildred O. Hamilton of Lexington, N,C.; a brother, Floyd Owens of 
Franklin; and six grandchildren.
