All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Nancy Phippins WINDSOR - Nancy Hedgepeth Phippins, 85, of Rt. 3, Box 14, died Jan. 5, 1990, in Henrico Doctors' Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Windsor, she was the widow of Lee Cleveland Phippins. She had worked at Pond Brothers Peanuts for several years, then went on to work at Wright's Barbecue as a cook for several years. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, Windsor, where she was sang with the choir and was involved in many church activities. Survivors include two daughters, Merle S. Webb and Margaret P. Dawkins, both of Richmond; a sister, Dolly Mae Foster of Suffolk; two brothers, Burlee Hedgepeth of Windsor and Darden Hedgepeth of Zunl; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Victor Hunter. Burial will be in the Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home, and other times at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to the Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad.
