All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Anna Pinner WASHINGTON, N.C. - Mrs. Anna Hall Pinner, 90, died Sept. 12, 1992, in a Beaufort County, N.C. nursing home. A native of Lexington, Ind., she was a former longtime resident of Suffolk. She was the widow [of] Donald C. Pinner, and the daughter of the late Alfondra Hall and Lola Robins Hall. Pinner was a charter member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church, where she had served as president of the Women's Auxiliary, taught Sunday School, and was a Bible leader. She was 1922 graduate of Hanover College in Hanover, Ind. She was Past Worthy Matron of Sinai Chapter 18, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a past Order of the Eastern Star Grand Chapter representative to the state of Rhode Island. Pinner was instrumental in the formation of Suffolk's chapter of Job's Daughters. She was past president of the John Randolph School PTA. Survivors include two daughters, Anna P. Cohn of Norfolk and Peggy Pond of Washington; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Mark Youndt in Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the church at 312 E. Constance Rd., Suffolk, Va. 23434. R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
