George L. Pierce 

  ZUNI - George Lilton Pierce, 76, of Route 1 Box 85, a farmer, died Thursday, 
Nov. 6, 1986, in a Franklin hospital. 

  Mr. Pierce, a native of Isle of Wight County, was a member of Antioch 
Christian Church. 

  Survivors include his wife, Ella Munford Pierce; four daughters, Betty 
Modlin of Franklin, Barbara Ellis of Ivor, Nancy Howell of Windsor and 
Patricia Lawson of Roanoke; a son, George D. Pierce of Windsor; two sisters, 
Louise Rowell of Suffolk and Gladys Godwin of Windsor; a brother, Roy S. 
Pierce of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

  A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral 
Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Edward Noble.  Burial will be in Holly Lawn 
Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight.
