HONTAS EURE ROSE

   SUFFOLK - Hontas Eure Rose, 71, of the 100 block of Wellons St., died 
Jan. 26, in a hospital.

   Mrs. Rose, a Gates County, N.C. native, was a member of Suffolk Christian 
Church and the widow of John Rose.

   Survivors include three sisters, Noreen Mitchell, Essie Jernigan, both of 
Suffolk, and Bonnie Williams of Franklin; and four brothers, James S. Eure 
and John D. Eure, both of Suffolk, Linwood W. Eure of Summerville, S.C., and 
Nat L. Eure of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

   The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in R.W. Baker & Co. 
Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Carmany.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill 
cemetery.
