FRANKLIN - Mills Eugene Rose Sr., 62, died June 3, in a hospital. Mr. Rose, a native of Isle of Wight County, was the supervisor of marketing for Golden Peanut Co. of Suffolk. He was an Army veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran. He was a deacon of South Quay Baptist Church, Suffolk. Survivors include his wife, Juliette Johnson Rose; two daughters, Lynne R. Robinson of Ivor and Joan R. Newsome of Franklin; two sons, M. Eugene Rose Jr. of Suffolk and Thomas R. Rose of Gates, N.C.; his mother, Syvilla B. Rose of Walters; a sister, Betty R. Butler of Suffolk; a brother, James R. Rose of Como, N.C.; and six grandchildren. The funeral was held Friday at the South Quay Baptist Church by the Rev. Clyde R. Alderman. Burial was in the church cemetery. Wright Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association of the church.
