Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. William C. Tatum. Burial will be in Great Fork Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Elliott Milteer, Joe R. Ward, Alfred H. Ellis, Jerry Garris, Leslie Stiers and W.H. Felton. Savage a resident of Manning Nursing Home died Saturday in a hospital. He was a native of Nansemond County and a retired rural paper carrier. He was a member of Great Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Odell S. Branch of Richmond, Virginia Small of Portsmouth, and Martha S. Foster of Windsor; a brother, William Aubrey Savage of Sudlersville, Md.; and nieces and nephews. William Gerald SAVAGE, retired rural paper carrier, Nansemond Co. native, d. 31 Jan 1981, Portsmouth, age 67, interred in Great Fork Baptist Church Cemetery*, near Whaleyville, 3 Feb 1981, "The Tidewater News" (Franklin, VA), Feb. 5, 1981, p. 9A *His parents, Lloyd A. & L. Pearl (ELLIS) SAVAGE, are buried there also.
