EMMA INEZ JONES SPEIGHT

   Suffolk - A funeral service for Mrs. Emma Jones Speight, 87, was held 
Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by Dr. R.E. Brittle and 
the Rev. Allen R. Blakney.  Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

   She died Monday in her home at 4980 Deerforest Road.

   She was a native of Nansemond County and the widow of John W. Speight.  She 
was a member of Parkers United Methodist Church.

   Survivors include a son, John W. Speight; and three sisters, Mrs. Virgie 
Jones Winslow, Mrs. Vera Jones Ward and Miss Mary Helen Jones, all of Suffolk; 
a brother, Paul T. Jones of Hampton; two grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.
