A native of Windsor, he was the widower of Margaret Hatfield Turner. He had retired as a farmer. He was a member of Antioch Congregational Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor T. Wilkins of Windsor and Jackie T. Redd of Zuni; three sons, Franklin S. Turner of Windsor, Fleetwood M. Turner Jr. of Windsor and Carroll R. Turner of Petersburg; a sister, Mildred T. Jones of Hopewell; two brothers, Wilson Turner of Chesapeake and Redell Turner of Suffolk; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Victor Hunter. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
