Baker & Co. Funeral Home by Dr. Wayne W. Poplin. Burial will be in the Holly Lawn cemetery. Washington died Tuesday afternoon in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and the husband of Olive Turner Washington. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Isle of Wight Christian Church and Hoggard Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Suffolk. He also was a member of the Living Buddies of Suffolk Barracks 1045 of World War I veterans. Other survivors include a daughter, Hilda Robinson of Richmond; two sisters, Olle Baugham of Sussex Court House and Frank Ollice of Portsmouth; two brothers, James Washington of Norfolk and Joseph Washington of Boykins; three grandsons; and three great-grandsons.
