Luther G. Writtenberry 

  Luther Green Writtenberry, 70, of 4548 Sleepy Hole Rd., died Monday in 
Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. 

  A native of Brunswick County, he was the husband of Mrs. Lessie Boyce 
Writtenberry and son of the late William M. and Mrs. Emma Godsey Writtenberry. 

  He was a retired maintenance supervisor for the State Dept. of Highways and 
was a Baptist. 

  Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Jewell W. Rhinehart of Roanoke, one 
sister, Mrs. Mabel George Lassiter of Suffolk; three grandchildren. 

  A funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral 
Home conducted by the Rev. J. Robert Bennett.  Burial will be in Bethlehem 
Church Cemetery. 

  The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. for visitation.

Luther Writtenberry 

  A funeral service for Luther Green Writtenberry, who died Sunday, was 
conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by 
the Rev. J. Robert Bennett.  Burial was in Bethlehem Church Cemetery. 

  Pallbearers were Henry Stafford, Floyd A. Powell, Gary Zekert, Ted 
LoCascio, Frank W. Nelms, Bobby Davis, Gibson Boyce, Henry Salmon.
