ARTHUR ALLEN WITNESS (1694)

Arthur Allen, aged 43 years or thereabouts, sworn saith:
that on or about August 1692, the defendent being  at James Citty, saw Capt. 
Matthew Rider the younger, signe bills of exchange payable to Edmond Drew for 
ten pounds odd money which said bills remained in your defendents custody a 
considerable time, two of which miscarrying as your defendent believes is 
going for England, and the third being herewith presented to be recorded, 
which your defendent really believes to be one of the said bills, and further 
saith not.
