The condition of this obligation is such that if above bound Sarah Bland, her heires, executors and administrators do & shall from time to time and at all times forever hereafter will and truly observe, performe, fulfill and keep all and singular ye covenants, grants articles clauses and agreements whatsoever which on her and their parts and behalfs is are and ought to be observed, performed, fullfilled and kept mentioned and contained in certain Indentures of Release Tripartite of the date above written and made or mentioned to be made, between ye said Sarah of ye First part, the said Arthur of ye Second part and Capt Thomas Holt, Mr. Joseph John Jackman, Capt Francis Clements and Mr. Etheldred Tayler of ye Third part and ye in and by all things according to ye tenor effects and true meaning of ye same Indenture of Release without fraud or coven that then this obligation to be void and of no effect or elce (else) it to stand and abide in full force and virtue. Puckle, Notary Public Daniel Sullivan Charles Bartelett Thomas Bray John Shaw On the back of the aforementioned bond was this written (viz): At a court held for York County the 24th day of September 1708: The within bond from Sarah Bland to Arthur Allen was this day proved in Court by ye Oath of John Shaw, one of the witnesses thereto. At a General Court held at ye Capitol the 30th day of October 1708: This bond from Sarah Bland to Arthur Allen was this day proved in Court by ye oath of Charles Bartlett, one of the witnesses to it Test. At a Court held at Southmark for the County of Surry November ye 2nd 1708: This day appeared in court Capt Thomas Holt and by virtue of a Power of Attorney from ye aforenamed Sarah Bland acknowledged ye aforementioned Bond to be her, the said Sarah's Act & Deed.
