OBLIGATION BOND BETWEEN ALLEN, THOMAS HOLT, JOHN HOLT (1703)

Know all men by these presents that we, Thomas Holt, Arthur E. Allen and John Holt, all Lawnes Creek parish in the County of Surry, are held and firmly 
bound to ye Court of Surry County in the penall sum of one hundred forty eight
pounds currant money for which payment will and truly to be made to ye said
court, their heirs and hereof our Executors. We bind ourselves, our heirs and
administrators joyntly and severally and firmly by these presents, witness
our hands and seals this day 1703.

The condition of this obligation is such ye if ye above bound Thomas 
Holt, Arthur E. Allen, and John Holt or either of them or either of their 
heires Executors or administrators shall pay or cause to be paid to such of 
ye orphans of Thomas Esinny? late of this county deceased and at such time as
shall be by ye said court appointed ye full and just sum of twenty four pounds
currant money ye same being for of ye estate of their father deceased then 
this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full power, force and virtue.

The above bond being first acknowledged by Thomas Holt, Arthur Allen and John
Holt was ordered to be recorded and is recorded.
