VA Deed Bk. 3, pgs 213-215 FHLC #34119 This Indenture made the second day of January in the year of Christ one thousand eight hundred and seven and of the Commonwealth the thirty first- Between William Bailey (of Southampton county) Executor of the testament and last will of Thomas R. Blow deceased late of Surry county of the one part and Francis Wrenn of the county of Isle of Wight of the other part - whereas the said decedent Thomas R Blow devised to his said Executor full power and authority to sell his land and plantation in Surry County, as by reference to the said Will now of records in the court of Surry, it will appear, now this Indenture witnesseth that the said William Bailey as Executor aforesaid, in pursuance of the said Will, for and in consideration of the sum of twenty Eight hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty four cents, to him in hand paid by the said Francis Wrenn, the receipt whereof the said William Bailey, executor as aforesaid, doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth acquit and discharge the said Francis Wrenn his heirs executors, & administrators by these presents, he the said William Bailey, as Executor aforesaid hath granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, and sell unto the said Francis Wrenn his heirs and assigns forever, one certain plantation, tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the said county of Surry, which the said decedent died, seized, possessed and in titled to by deed from the Executor of old Colonel Michl. Blow deceased (reference to the said deed will show) which said tract or parcel of Land contains by estimation four hundred and twenty five Acres, be the same more or less, lying in the head of Banfords Creek, and is bounded as follows, Beginning at a white oak a corner tree of the land formerly Randolph Holts, William Drew and the said Land, thence along a line of marked trees of the land formerly Randolph Holts to a corner tree at Bus- meck rails? thence along a line of marked trees to two Maples in the head of the tar pitt swamp, thence down the run of said swamp to Banfords Creek, thence down the meanders of the said Creek to the mouth of the Willow Swamp, thence up the run of said Swamp to a pine, thence along a line of marked trees to a corner formerly an Oak, but now a Holly in Allen Cocke deceased line, thence along the said Cockes line to a red oak a corner of the late William Drews line, thence along the said Drews line, northerly to the white oak begun at, together will all the houses, buildings, gardens, orchards, trees, water courses, commons, profits, commodities hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said tract or parcel of land belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof and also all the estate, right, title, interest, property claim and demand of him the said William Bailey executor aforesaid or of any other person or persons, claiming by, through, or under the said decedent Thomas R. Blow of in or to the same, or any other part or parcel thereof, to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Francis Wrenn his heirs and assigns forever.
