VA Deed Bk. 4, pgs 124-125 FHLC #34006 This Indenture made this eighth day of december in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred & sixty eight Between Anthony Evans junr of the county of Surry of the one part & Richard Wrenn of the county aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Anthony Evans for and in consideration of thirty pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Richard Wrenn the receipt whereof he the said Anthony Evans doth hereby acknowledge he the said Anthony Evans hath granted bargained and Sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and Sell alien & confirm unto the said Richd Wrenn one certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred &fifty acres be the same more or less situate lying &being in the county of Southampton being part of a tract of three hundred &thirty granted by fiat??? to Jams Davis bearing date the eighteenth day of feby one thousand seven hundred & twenty two & by the said James Davis convey'd to Saml Sebrell of Surry county by deed of bargain & Sale bearing date the thirteenth of November one thousand Seven hundred & thirty five & by the said Saml Sebrell devised in his last will &testament to his sons Joseph & Benjamin. Joseph since dying intestate and without issue his right was vested in Samuel & Daniel Sebrell and was by them conveyd to the aforesaid Benjamin Sebrell by deed of gift bearing date the thirteenth day of march one thousand seven hundred &fifty nine & by him conveyd to William Evans by deed of bargain and Sale dated the eighth day of november one thousand seven hundred & Sixty four & by the said Wm Evans conveyd by deed of gift to the aforesaid Anthony Evans now bounded as is in the aforesaid deeds as profed reference being thereunto had ????? ?? fully appear with the reversion & reversion remainder rent and Services of the said premises & every part thereof & also all the estate right title interest and claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Anthony Evans of in and to the same premises and every part thereof To have and to hold all & singular the said premises within mentioned & every part & parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Richard Wrenn his heirs assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Richard Wren his heirs and assigns for ever and the said Anthony Evans for himself & his heirs the said lands and premises & every part thereof against him and his heirs and against all & every other person &persons whatsoever shall & will warrant &forever defend unto the said Richard Wren his heirs and assigns for ever In Witness whereof the said Anthony Evans hath hereunto set his hand and affixd his seal the day &year above written Signed sealed & delivered in presence of Anthony Evans (L S __) Henry Davis Thomas Lain Sambon Pitman Memorandum that on the day of December one thousand seven hundred and Sixty eight peaceable and quiet possession and seisen of the land & premises within mentioned was given and granted by the within named Anthony Evans unto the within named Richard Wren In witness whereof the said Anthony Evans hath hereunto set his hand & affixd his seal the day & year above written Witness Anthony Evans (L S) Henry Davis Thomas Lain Sambon Pitman At a Court held for the county of Southampton the 8th day of December 1768 This Indenture & memorandum of livery of seisen thereon and read were acknowledged by the within named Anthony Evans party thereto and ordered to by recorded ------- And Mary the wife of the said Anthony personally appeared in court & being first privetly examined on the ?an direct Voluntarily relinquished her right of dower in the estate Conveyd by the said Indenture J Kells CC ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
