SURRY COUNTY, VA - SURRY - Lewis Williams, Revolutionary War Medical Pension Affidavit ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection Williams, Lewis Pen. 452 1786-1792 Soldier-4th Virginia Regiment Surry County Widow: Mildred, 3 children Surry County April Court 1789: Mildred Williams, widow of Lewis Williams who enlisted a private in the 4th Virginia Regiment on Continental Establishment came personally into Court and produced a certificate for an allowance of 6 pounds per annum to which she made oath as the law directs. Ordered therefore that the Sheriff of this County do pay the said six pounds out of his collection of taxes made this present year. A Copy Teste: Jacob Paulbon? C. S. C November 1791--Mildred Williams died.
