L. ANDERSON William Lillious Anderson, age 87, died at his residence, 2219 Royal Avenue, Richmond, Monday, September 7, 1953. He was a charter member of Dendron Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Mae Atkinson; one daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Margaret Wood; one son, Charles Atkinson Anderson; two brothers, Sam and Thomas Anderson; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Short funeral services were held Wednesday, September 9 at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home in Richmond, conducted by Rev. C.C. Jones, a former pastor of the Wakefield and Dendron Charge. Burial services were conducted in the Wakefield Cemetery by Rev. C.C. Jones, Rev. L.P. Bland and Dr. J.E. White. Crawley Laine sang, "Old Rugged Cross." Active pallbearers were Mr. Anderson’s grandsons, C.A. Anderson, Jr., W.C. Seeley, Jr., Jack Seeley, William Wood, Jr., James A. Wood and Richard Wood. M.Reg., p. 73 #2) His mother's 1928 D.Cert. (29079 {Pr.Ed.Co., Buffalo #14) gives Mareta Womack (Gurthie) Anderson. His parents, Charles Thomas & Marietta Womack (GUTHRIE) ANDERSON, are buried in Bethlehem Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Abilene, Charlotte Co.
