She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Margaret was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Portsmouth Lodge #898 and assisted her husband, Fred, in farming and operating Butler's Towing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Lee and Louise Williams Freeman; husband, Frederick "Fred" Wayne Butler; her son, Frederick Wayne Butler, Jr., and a sister, Ruth Lee Jones. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Butler Boykin and her husband, Charles of Wakefield, Lisa Butler Ball and her husband, Curtis Ray of Hopewell and Ginger Butler Tempest of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Charles Wayne Boykin, Brian Wayne Edwards and Carrie Amanda Tempest; niece, Penny Napier and nephew, David Jones. The family will receive friends at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Rocky Hock Cemetery in Wakefield with Rev. Cliff Fritzinger officiating.
