BAILEY WAKEFIELD, VA. - May 26 - Mrs. Annie Laurie Bailey, 82, died Tuesday in a Suffolk hospital. She was the widow of Robert J. Bailey, of Surry County. A funeral service will be held at the residence in Surry County at 4 p.m. Wednesday, with burial in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Rives, of Richmond; Mrs. G.M. Hargrave, of Petersburg; Mrs. Otis Jones, of Norfolk, and Mrs. James Revelle, of Wakefield; one son, Ralph J. Bailey, of Wakefield; a sister, Mrs. Hutie Niblett, of Southampton County; a brother, James L. Parsons, of Southampton County, and seven grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** MRS. ANNIE BAILEY, 82, DIED TUESDAY IN SUFFOLK HOSPITAL Mrs. Annie Laurie Bailey, 82, died Tuesday, May 26 in a Suffolk hospital. She was the widow of Robert J. Bailey, of Surry County. She was a faithful member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Rives of Richmond, Mrs. G.M. Hargrave of Petersburg, Mrs. Otis Jones of Norfolk and Mrs. James Revelle of Wakefield; one son, Ralph J. Bailey of Wakefield; a sister, Mrs. Hutie Niblett of Southampton County and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 27 at 4:00 p.m., at her home in Surry County. Rev. J.L. Blankenship and Rev. L.P. Bland officiated with burial in Rocky Hock Cemetery. Music was rendered by the Rocky Hock Choir. Active pallbearers were Algernon Niblett, Joe Emory, James Parsons, Joe Eggleston, Jack Bailey and John Goodrich. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family.
