Mr. Bailey had retired as an aircraft mechanic at Norfolk Naval Air Station after 27 years. He was a member of Norview United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Rogers Bailey; a daughter Charlotte B. Holton of Norfolk; a son, George T. Bailey of Pearls, Miss.; a sister, Bessie B. Lowe of Petersburg; and six grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Wednesday, June 25 in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Frederick A. Arndt. Burial was in Rocky Hock United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wakefield. Burial arrangements were made by Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield. Memorial donations may be sent to the parking lot fund at Norview United Methodist Church.
