(Buck) Bailey, 68, died Wednesday in a Norfolk hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Surry County and a farmer. He was a member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J.J. Stallings of Smithfield and Mrs. F.T. Lamb of McFarland, Calif.; seven sisters, Mrs. Inez Drury and Mrs. Gladys Roach of Waverly, Mrs. B.B. Barrett of Sibley, Mrs. Lewis Reynolds of Richmond, Mrs. Henry B. Spratley of Surry, Mrs. Ray L. Rountree of Smithfield and Mrs. Garland Harver of Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, R.J. Bailey and Wilburt Jack Bailey of Wakefield, and five grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** C.V. BAILEY SURRY - A graveside service for Cordie V. (Buck) Bailey, 68, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery by the Rev. R.L. Consolvo. The family requests expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. Purviance Funeral Home, Smithfield, is in charge. ****************************************************************************** CORDIE V. BAILEY NORFOLK - Cordie V. (Buck) Bailey, 68, of 303 W. 21st St. died Wednesday morning in a hospital. A native of Surry County, he was a retired farmer. He was a member of Rocky Hock United Methodist Church, Surry County. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J.J. Stallings of Smithfield and Mrs. Frederick P. Lamb of McFarland, Calif. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery by the Rev. R.L. Consolvo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, has charge.
