Mrs. Eliz. H. Bell, 73 Buried Wednesday At Bacon's Castle 

  Mrs. Elizabeth H. Bell, 73, widow of John H. Bell, died at Obici Hospital 
Monday night, July 28th. 

  She was the daughter of the late John Holt and Cora Morris Holt and was a 
native of Surry County.  She was a member of Surry Methodist Church. 

  Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Inez B. Bailey of Surry; two sons, John H. 
Bell of Virginia Beach and M.H. Bell of Norfolk; three grandchildren and one 
great-grandchild. 

  Funeral services were conducted from the grave Wednesday, July 30th at 3:30 
P.M. (EST) at the Old Brick Church Cemetery, Bacon's Castle by the Rev. W.C. 
Freeman. 

  The procession left the Jones Funeral Home, Smithfield at 3 P.M. 

  Pallbearers were David Barlow, Jack Barlow, John Galloway, Walter Rollins, 
T.J. Rowell, Jennings Hunnicutt, Clifton Hunnicutt and C.M. Ellis.

*Find a Grave calls it Lower Surry Cemetery.  (Mem. #8457895) 

Her father, John Edward HOLT (27 Sep 1853* - 14 Jun 1900), is also buried 
   there. 

*The (7 Jun) 1900 Census gives b. May 1849; enumerated with daughter & 
   son-in-law.
