HUDSON L. "DICK" BENNETT 

  Hudson L. "Dick" Bennett, 83, a lifelong resident of Surry County, died 
Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001.

  Mr. Bennett retired as a technician with Dow Chemical Co. after 30 years 
of service.  He was of the Catholic faith.

  He is survived by his wife, Evelyn A. Bennett; sister-in-law, Marion A. 
Marks; three nephews, Johnny Marks, Jimmy Marks and Michael Marks and his 
wife, Barbara; also, two nieces, Marilyn Lane and Susan Aspro.

  A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Peninsula 
Memorial Park by Monsignor Michael E. McCarron.

  Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Surry County Volunteer 
Rescue Squad, Surry, VA 23883.

  Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
