Rev. C.E. Stewart of Petersburg officiated. Interment in local cemetery.* Born in Newport News March 9, 1908, the son of Helen Santmyer Berry and George Berry, many of his 38 years of life were spent at the home of his maternal grandparents here. His survivors are one sister, Miss Helen E. Berry of Washington; three aunts, the Misses Jesse and Haidee Santmyer of Claremont and Miss C.A. Santmyer of Dayton, Ohio; and one uncle Joseph Santmyer of Zenia, Ohio. Pallbearers were Alvis Harris; Chaucey Harrison, Richard Grotopherst; Bryon Savedge; Carl Dunlop; and Robert Lee Matthews.
