DR. JAMES W. BAIRD 

  Dr. James W. Baird, aged sixty-eight [sic*] years committed suicide at his 
home near Waverly, Surry County, yesterday evening.  He had been in bad health 
for some time and this is given as the cause of his act.  Dr. Baird used a 
pistol, and death was instantaneous.

interred in the family cemetery, 2 Dec 1915,
