Brittle Rites Tomorrow SMITHFIELD - Funeral services for James Stanley Brittle will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Bullock Funeral home by the Rev. John W. Gordon, pastor of Bacon's Castle Baptist church. Burial will be in Old Brick Church Cemetery, Bacons Castle. Mr. Brittle, 52, died early Thursday in his home at Rushmere. A native of Surry County, he lived in Isle of Wight the last 15 years. He was employed at Gwaltney Co., Inc., meat packers, and was a member of Bacon's Castle Baptist church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marvin Hostetler of Rushmere and Mrs. Wayne Hooper of Pickens, S.C.; a son, William Ray Brittle of Rushmere; two brothers, A. Guy Brittle of Hopewell and Herbert A. Brittle of Smithfield; a sister, Mrs. Felix Gay of Wakefield; and a granddaughter.
