She was born in Isle of Wight County and was retired as a seamstress. She was a member of Rocky Hock United Methodist Church, Surry County. Survivors include her stepmother, Mrs. Violet B. Goodrich of Wakefield; a daughter, Mrs. Catherine B. Drewry of Wakefield; a sister, Mrs. Hilda B. Mayes of Williamsburg; two stepsisters, Mrs. Rosa B. Logan of Wakefield and Mrs. Ester B. Wood of Suffolk; three stepbrothers, Frederick W. Butler of Waverly, Robert H. Butler, Jr. of Madeira Beach, Fla., and Thomas W. Butler of Chesapeake; a grandchild; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. E. Lee Chattin. Burial will be in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery, Surry County. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight in the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Rocky Hock United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Ivor Rescue Squad. ****************************************************************************** THELMA B.
