Barlow, 64, of Dendron, died April 14 in Medical College of Virginia in Richmond after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Dendron, Mr. Barlow was a former town councilman, a self-employed plumbing contractor, past president and treasurer of the Ruritan Club, member of Blackwater Sportsmen Club of Dendron, a member and treasurer of Dendron Methodist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. C.D. Dorris of Colonial Heights, Miss Virginia N. Barlow of Dendron and Mrs. Lena B. Bish of Petersburg. The funeral was conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. J.E. Griffin. Burial was in Waverly Cemetery. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
