GOODRICH CHAPMAN FUNERAL OF MRS. CALADONIA A. CHAPMAN Dendron - Nov. 19 - The funeral of Mrs. Caladonia A. Chapman, age 71, wife of the late C.J. Chapman, of Isle of Wight County, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.T. Gwaltney, near Surry, early Sunday morning, was held at 3 o'clock, this afternoon at the home of Mrs. Gwaltney, by Rev. S.Y. Craig, formerly pastor of the Baptist church at Surry, but now of Roadesville, Va., assisted by Rev. A.W. Linthicum, pastor of the Surry Methodist church. Choirs of the various churches of Surry sang several hymns at the home and at the cemetery in Surry, where interment was made. The active pallbearers were M.D. Brown, H.D. Savedge, J.H. Savedge, Carl White, Joe Judkins and M.D. Berryman. The honorary pallbearers were A.M. Savedge, Dr. W.W. Seward, C.H. Gwaltney, H.O. Land, J.B. Green, G.J. Green, B.B. Barham, Jr., D.W. Chapman, C.M. Ellis, G.C. Berryman, W.L. Avery, L.L. Spain, P.T. Roach, J.H. Bell, W.H. Purcell, Chapman White, Dr. E.E. Butler, Wilmer Cox, E.E. Butler, Jr. and Samuel Gwaltney. The deceased was a member for over fifty years of the Surry Baptist church, and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. G.T. Gwaltney, two sons, A.R. Chapman and P.G. Chapman and one brother P.O. Goodrich, all of Surry, and a large number of friends in Surry and Isle of Wight Counties. Caladonia A. (GOODRICH; Mrs. Charles J.)
