COFER DENDRON - Mrs. Clarice Matthews Cofer, 79, died Saturday in Richmond Memorial Hospital. She was born in Dendron and was a lifelong resident. She retired as a sales clerk. She was a member of Dendron Christian Church. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. R.A. Ligon and Mrs. J.T. Debrito, both of Richmond, and Mrs. K.W. Shaw of Matthews, N.C.; and a grandchild. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery, Surry County. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. ****************************************************************************** ELTON CLARICE MATTHEWS COFER Clarice Matthews Cofer, 79, of Dendron, died Saturday, May 3, 1986, in a Richmond hospital. Mrs. Cofer, a lifelong resident of Surry County, was the widow of Roy Cofer. She was a member of Dendron Christian Church. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. R.A. Ligon and Mrs. J.T. DeBrito, both of Richmond, and Mrs. K.W. Shaw of Matthews, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Bettie J. Cofer, of Dendron; and a granddaughter, Connie D. Cofer of Dendron.
