LORRAINE NOLAN COFER 

MRS. LORAINE N. COFER 

  SURRY - Mrs. Lorraine Nolan Cofer, 68, died Wednesday in a traffic accident 
in Surry County.

  She was born in Amelia County

  She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and the Surry Garden 
Club and a charter member of the Women’s Club of Surry.

  She was treasurer for the Oak Grove Cemetery Association for 10 years and a 
volunteer for American Red Cross for 10 years.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Beulah C. Mitchell of Norfolk; her 
mother, Mrs. Beulah Grace Wagner Nolan of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mrs. 
Merle N. Simpson of Virginia Beach, and Mrs. Lois N. Dienstberger of 
Fayetteville, N.C.; a brother, William Franklin Nolan of Norfolk; three 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

  A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Purviance Funeral Home, 
Wakefield, by the Rev. Richard J. Risser. Burial will be in Oak Grove Church 
Cemetery.

  The family is at the residence.

  The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of 
contributions to Oak Grove Cemetery Association, Surry, VA 23888.
