MARY O’LEAN BAIRD COFER 

  Mrs. O’Lean Baird Cofer, 81, of Surry, died Tuesday, April 28, 1987 in her 
home.

  She was a lifelong resident of Surry County and was a former public school 
teacher.

  She was the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Baird and the widow of 
Alonza Clyde Cofer.

  She was a member of Dendron United Methodist Church.

  Survivors include a son, Kenneth B. Cofer of Richmond; and five 
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Thursday, April 30, 1987, in Purviance Funeral 
Chapel, Wakefield.  The Rev. Samuel Askew III, pastor of Dendron United 
Methodist, officiated.

  Burial was in Waverly Cemetery.

  Purviance Funeral Home had charge arrangements.
