Collier, 68, a former Franklin resident, died at his home in Dendron of Wednesday, February 10, at 3:30 p.m. He was a retired saw-filer and a member of the Dendron Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Frances H. Collier; two brothers, A.B. Collier and W.W. Collier, both of Dendron; three sisters, Mrs. Marian Cotton, of Bolling Green; Mrs. George E. Tate, of Richmond; and Mrs. Ida Rollins, of Dendron; a stepmother, Mrs. Edmonia Collier; two half-brothers and three half-sisters; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Purviance Funeral Chapel, in Wakefield. Rev. William Bookman, pastor of the Dendron Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Waverly Cemetery.
