JOHN T. CLARKE 

  WAVERLY - John T. Clarke, 80, died Thursday in a Hopewell nursing home.

  A lifelong resident of Waverly and a farmer, he attended Carsley United 
Methodist Church.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jane Cobb Clarke, and a daughter, Mrs. 
Janet C. Clarke of Richmond.

  A funeral was conducted Sunday in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, 
by the Rev. D.L. Bays.  Burial was in Waverly Cemetery.

  The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions 
to the Waverly Rescue Squad.
