PETER CHARLES COOMBS 

  Peter Charles Coombs, 65, passed away at his home in Richmond on April 16, 
2013.  Pete was born July 10, 1947 in Union Township, New Jersey to the late 
Charles Reick and Margaret Chubb Coombs.  He was predeceased by a brother, 
George Thomas Coombs. 

  He was a 1970 graduate of University of Richmond and a member of Grace and 
Holy Trinity Church of Richmond.  Pete will be remembered for his life-long 
love of Avalon, crabbing on the Northern Neck, and his dedication and love 
for his wife, family, and his treasured grandchildren. 

  Pete is survived by his wife of 44 years, Glenice Boykin Coombs; daughters, 
Sheri Coombs Lambert and husband, Rodney; Chris Coombs Patoray and husband, 
Kirk; and three grandchildren, Bella and Mia Lambert, Gavin Patoray, and one 
step-grandson, Kolby Lambert. 

  A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 19, 2013 at Grace 
and Holy Trinity Church in Richmond followed by burial at Rocky Hock United 
Methodist Church Cemetery in Wakefield at 4:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, 
memorials donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  R.W.
