ALLIE COUNCILL BURIED TUESDAY AT BACONS CASTLE Mrs. Allie V. Councill, 79, died at her home in Bacon's Castle Sunday morning after a long illness. She was a native of Southampton County. She had lived in Surry County for the past 61 years. She was a member of the Bacon's Castle Baptist Church and the Woman's Missionary Society of that church. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. J.C. Little of Ivor; Mrs. Shepard Holleman and Mrs. Maurice Rowan, both of Bacons Castle and Mrs. Gladys Shillings of Baltimore, Md.; five sons, J.R. Councill of Emporia; F.J. Councill and R.O. Councill, both of Bacons Castle; J.F. Councill of Elberon, and H.O. Councill of Newport News; 20 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. The body was taken from the Bullock Funeral Home Monday at 11 a.m. to the home and funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Bacons Castle Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. J.F. Cales, former pastor of that church. Burial was in the Old Brick Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were John Brock, Ray Holleman, Elbert Holloman, Wilmer Councill, Ashton Little and Milton Councill. Allie V. (COUNCILL; Mrs. John F.)
