[Special to The Times- Dispatch.] Dendron, Va., December 5.- James Henry Devaney, aged eighty years, died to-day at the home of his son, Dr. W.L. Devaney, at this place. He was born August 2, 1830, and was a native of Southampton county. He is survived by three daughters - Mrs. R.O. Norris, of Waverly; Mrs. Fannie Drewry, of Wakefield, and Mrs. Sallie Jones. of Brunswick; and by three sons, A.W. Devaney, of Lawrenceville: Dr. C.L. Devaney, of Clarksville, and Dr. W.L. Devaney, of Dendron. The funeral will be held at Courtland on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock.
