Dews Buried October 16 At Mill Swamp Mrs. Bettie L. Warren Dews, 86, died October 1 [sic; 14], 1955 in a Suffolk hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Surry County and a member of Moore's Swamp Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. S.W. White, of Elberon; three sons, Henry L. Berryman, of Smithfield; John R. Berryman, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Edward W. Berryman, of Aliquippa, Pa.; six great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were conducted at Mill Swamp Cemetery Sunday, October 16, at 3 P.M. with the Rev. R.E. Brittle officiating. The procession left the Jones Funeral Home at 2:30 P.M. Pallbearers were Paul Wrenn, H.L. Bailey, H.H. Bell, Jr., E.T. Lane, W.J. Thomas, J.A. Logan, H.C. Seward and B.F. Hux.
