HETTIE RIVES ELLIS DERRING 

MRS. DAVID S. DERRING 

  DENDRON - Mrs. Hettie Ellis Derring, 89, of Dendron, died Wednesday at the 
home of a daughter, Mrs. Kesler Askew of Enfield, N.C. 

  She was the widow of David S. Derring, and the oldest member of Dendron 
Baptist Church. 

  Additional survivors include two other daughters, Mrs. Eugene Beavans of 
Enfield and Mrs. James W. Bryant of Dry Fork; two sons, David Ellis Derring 
of Cockeysville, Md., and Vernon Elwyn Derring of Roanoke; 14 grandchildren, 
18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. 

  A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Purviance Funeral 
Home Chapel, Wakefield, by Dr. A.J. Duncan and the Rev. J.F. Arnold. 

  Burial will be in the Rocky Hock United Methodist Church cemetery.

Their step-mother, Eudora Henry (SAVEDGE) ELLIS, is buried in Plot 74.
