Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the residence. Burial will be in Rocky Hock Cemetery. Mr. Eggleston, a son of the late Richard S. Eggleston and Mrs. Sallie Harmon Eggleston, was born in New Kent County. He moved to Surry County in 1900 and married Miss Hattie Ann Goodrich of Wakefield on December 21, 1904. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Eric S. Eggleston of Newport News, Joe O. and Robert Eggleston of Wakefield; a daughter, Miss A. Lautin Eggleston of Wakefield; a brother, Henry A. Eggleston of Newport News and two grandchildren, Eric and Eddie Eggleston. ****************************************************************************** R.E. EGGLESTON SUCCUMBS; LAST RITES SET TODAY Robert Edmond Eggleston, 61, died at his home near Wakefield yesterday, according to information received here last night. He was a native of New Kent County, a son of Richard S. and Sallie Harmon Eggleston, and has been a resident of Surry County since 1900. He was married to Miss Hattie Ann Goodrich Dec. 21, 1904. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Eric S. Eggleston, of Newport News; Joe O. Eggleston and Robert Eggleston, both of Wakefield; one daughter, Miss A. Lautin Eggleston, Wakefield, and one brother, Henry A. Eggleston, of Newport News. He is also survived by two grandsons, Eric and Eddie Eggleston and six nieces and nephews. Eggleston, age 61, were held Wednesday afternoon at Rocky Hock Church. Mr. Eggleston died Tuesday morning at his home near Wakefield following a prolonged illness. He was the son of the late Richard S. Eggleston and Mrs. Sallie Harmon Eggleston and a native of New Kent County but had made his home in Surry County since 1900. He married Miss Hattie Ann Goodrich of Wakefield on December 21, 1904. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Eric S.
