FUQUA SMITHFIELD, Aug. 2, James Winston Fuqua, 64, died Tuesday. He was rural mail carrier for 40 years before retiring three years ago. He worked since with the Jamestown Corporation. He was a past master of Jefferson Lodge No. 65 AF&AM, veteran of World War I and treasurer of the Surry Methodist Charge. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bullock Funeral Home, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The family requested that flowers be omitted and donations made, instead, to the local Heart Fund. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hope Drewry Fuqua; a son, William B. Fuqua of Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. J.G. Whitmore and Mrs. S.D. Green of Newport News and Mrs. J.L. White of Elberon, and one grandchild.
