GERTRUDE "GERTIE" ETTA HARGRAVE FAISON 

MRS. JOHN R. FAISON 

  DENDRON, VA. - Jan. 5 - The funeral of the late Mrs. Gertie Hargrave Faison, 
46, wife of John Robert Faison, who died at her home here, was held at Rocky 
Hock Church Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.  Besides her husband she is 
survived by two daughters, Mrs. Curtis Clarke, Zuni, Va., and Sarah Lois 
Faison, Dendron; and two sons, Walkley and Lawrence Faison, Dendron; three 
brothers, Lloyd, Bernard V. and Gerald Hargrave of Dendron, Franklin and 
Petersburg, respectively, and three sisters, Mrs. Luther Presson, Dendron; 
Mrs. Bena Forbes, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Harry Harris, Wakefield. 
Interment was in Rocky Hock Cemetery.

Her parents, George Moody & Sarah Wilkerson DAVIS (HARGRAVE) HARGRAVE, 
   are buried in Plot 39.

Her father (1838 - 1893) was a Confederate veteran, having served as a 
   sergeant in the Surry Light Artillery. 

Her widowed mother (1858 - 1922) 2m. Hosea Hudson CARROLL. 

Hosea is buried with his second wife in Wakefield Cemetery.
