LUCY ELLIS FAISON Mrs. Lucy Ellis Faison, 81, of Waverly, died suddenly at her home in Waverly on Wednesday, March 24, 1971. A native of Surry County, she was a daughter of Miles M. and Addie Morris Ellis. She was the widow of Edgar G. Faison and a member of Waverly Baptist Church. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Waverly Post 191, England-Parsons Post, president of the Sally Harrison Bible Class and a member of the Woman's Missionary Society. Funeral services were held Friday, March 26, at 2:30 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, with the Rev. J.L. Blackwell officiating. Burial was in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were C. Morris Ellis, V. Elwyn Deering, S.C. Hughes, Jr., Jack Hughes, Lawrence H. Faison, Kessler Askew, Jr., and Dr. Robert Hughes.
