ALICE EMORY GOODRICH 

  WAKEFIELD - Alice Emory Goodrich, 70, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997, at Obici 
Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. 

  She was the widow of Henry Osborne Goodrich and the daughter of the late 
Charles Everette and Essie Scarborough Emory.  Mrs. Goodrich was a member of 
Burton's Grove Congregational Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. 

  Mrs. Goodrich is survived by her son, Charles H. Goodrich of Pensacola, 
Fla.; daughters, Jeannette G. Newbold and Linda G. Joyce, both of Waverly and 
Barbara G. Britt of Wakefield; brother, Arthur L. Emory of Claremont; sisters, 
Bertha E. Vick of Suffolk, Charlotte E. Bain of Carrollton, Dorothy E. 
Murzynski of Newark, Del., and Celia E. Parsons of Smith; and seven 
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.  She was the grandmother of the 
late Kevin Ray Joyce. 

  A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. at Purviance 
Funeral Home, Wakefield, with the Rev. Charles Walters officiating.  Burial 
will be in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends this 
evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. 

  Donations may be made to the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad or the American 
Cancer Society.
