GOODRICH" Ara Goodrich married Harry Lee Goodrich, Sr. in 1912 when she was 18 years old. She was the sister to Boots Whitmore's father, Joel Whitmore. Harry Lee and Ara had seven children - Doris, Harry Lee Jr., Woodland, Elva, Lester "Peter," Melvin and Lawrence "Buddy." Ara died soon after giving birth to her seventh child. She stayed at home and was a homemaker all of her life. Ara was a sweet, quiet and reserved person and was an excellent cook. Raisin pie was one of her specialties. Ara was a member of Rocky Hock Church and is buried in Rocky Hock Cemetery. The pew was given by her son, Harry Lee Goodrich, Jr. and his wife, Marjorie.
