HENRY GOODRICH - GIVEN BY WIFE: MINNIE G. GOODRICH C. Henry Goodrich (1878-1953) in 1931. He had one son, Osborne. Henry had four brothers - James, Bennie, Gurney and Garland - and two sisters - Annie and Ida Mae. C. Henry Goodrich is also the great-grandfather of Cheryl Britt, the lady who cleans our church. C. Henry was a farmer, and farmed across the road from Sonny Boykins's home today. He was always seen smoking a pipe and has been described by many people as a nice, quiet, kind man, always concerned about others. An example of this was when on of the little Boykins girls, Jean, would ride her tricycle to his house alone. He was so concerned for her safety that he always walked her home on the return trip to make sure she arrived safely. He was very devoted to his church and was a faithful member at Rocky Hock Church. When he died, his viewing and funeral were conducted in his home, a custom not unusual at that time. Both he and Minnie are buried in Rocky Hock Cemetery.
