HERBERT DAVID GOODRICH 

  Our Heavenly Father, in his infinite wisdom, has taken from our circle our 
dear friend Herbert Goodrich.  He has been called from us to that beautiful 
home beyond, where enjoy peace and happiness reighneth forever.  Herdie loved 
his church and Sunday school songs, he was a good and loyal Christian a 
favorite with old and young, always ready to do what he could for anyone, he 
family have my deepest and heartfelt sympathy, while it is hard to give him 
up, yet God helps us to bear our troubles, may we all so lived that we shall 
meet him on the other side where parting river comes and good byes are never 
spoken.  Funeral services were conducted by his Pastor, Rev. W.L. Ware, after 
which his remains were laid to rest in the Rocky Hock Cemetery. 

"Sleep on, dear one, sleep on and take thy rest, 
 Lay down thy head upon thy Savior’s breast. 
 We loved thee well, but Jesus loved more,
 Good night! Good night! Good night!"
