HARRY LEE GOODRICH, SR. 

H.L. GOODRICH, SR. 

  Harry Lee Goodrich Sr., 72, died Saturday, Jan. 2. 

  A native of Surry County, he was a son of James W. and Mrs. Elizabeth Hart 
Goodrich and the husband of Mrs. Susie Maynard Goodrich.  He was a retired 
farmer. 

  Besides his wife, he is survived by five son, Woodland Tyler Goodrich of 
Mechanicsville, Lawrence Corbett Goodrich of Richmond and Harry Lee Goodrich, 
Jr., C. Lyster Goodrich and Melvin B. Goodrich of Wakefield; three daughters, 
Mrs. Leslie Tabit and Mrs. John Greenstreet of Norfolk and Mrs. John 
Scarborough of Petersburg; a brother, J. Leslie Goodrich of Wakefield; two 
sisters, Mrs. Susie G. Bass of Stony Creek and Mrs. Roddie C. Gay of Richmond; 
and 11 grandchildren. 

  A funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 4, at 2:30 p.m. in Purviance Funeral 
Chapel by the Rev. E.B. Owen.  Burial was in Rocky Hock Cemetery. 

  Pallbearers: Carlton Goodrich, C.C. Murphy, R.E. Eggleston, B.E. Cowling, 
Sr., Henry Schloss, Cecil Gwaltney, William B. Peebles, O.L. Holt.
